AI Girlfriend World is an independent review site that helps people choose AI companion apps with confidence. We test the apps ourselves, explain how they really work, and rank them honestly — so you don't have to wade through marketing claims and paid placements.

Our mission

AI companionship is moving fast, and most "best AI girlfriend" lists are thin affiliate pages that never opened the app. We exist to be the opposite: a source you can actually trust. Every recommendation on this site is based on real, paid, hands-on usage, and we cover the parts vendors prefer to gloss over — true pricing, privacy practices, content controls, and the moments where an app falls short.

Who we are

AI Girlfriend World is run by a small editorial team led by Tom, our lead reviewer. Tom has been testing AI companion apps hands-on since 2024 — creating characters, paying for premium tiers, and holding weeks-long conversations to see how each platform behaves over time rather than in a five-minute demo.

Around Tom, a handful of researchers and editors fact-check pricing and features, monitor product updates and policy changes, and read community feedback from real users on Reddit, Discord, and our own inbox. Nothing is published until a second person has checked the claims.
