Candy AI Review (2026): Pricing, Refunds & Is It Safe?

We have not used a paid Candy.ai account for this page, so it does not judge chat quality, memory, image quality or how well voice and video work. Where those come up, they are Candy.ai's own descriptions.

What is Candy.ai?

Candy.ai is a web-based AI girlfriend platform for adults. You pick a character from its gallery or build your own, then chat by text. On top of chat, Candy.ai sells 18+ AI images, short videos and voice features, which are paid for with tokens. There is no native iPhone or Android app: according to its help center, you add the website to your home screen as a web app instead.

The service is run by EverAI Limited, registered in Malta under no. C107181, and the company is named in both its terms and its privacy policy. Charges appear on card statements as "EverAI". Payment options depend on your country: cards, crypto, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer are listed, but only card payments can be refunded. For a sense of scale, the web top 50 of a16z's sixth list of consumer AI products (January 2026 data) includes "Candy Network" (see our AI companion statistics).

What Candy.ai Premium includes

This section comes from Candy.ai's subscription page and help center, checked October 2026: what you pay for, not how good it is.

• Chat: unlimited text messages on Premium, and chatting itself does not use tokens. Free accounts get 5 messages in total, across all characters.
• Custom characters: a character creator for looks and personality. Free users can create one character; on Premium, creating custom characters uses tokens.
• Images and video: 18+ image generation, plus videos made by turning a generated image into a short clip. A "Build Your Video" tool assembles a scene from preset options. Image and video generation use tokens.
• Voice: playing a voice message and voice calls (marked beta) use tokens.
• Live Action: a Premium-only, token-gated interactive erotic video mode for selected characters. The help center (March 2026) says it works on mobile only.
• Other paid extras: Private Content packs, limited-time Exclusive Characters (the example given is 200 tokens), Candy Roulette video chats at 5 tokens per minute, and tips in Candy Cam.
• Memory: Candy.ai markets "memory retention", but its help center says detailed memory is tied to the active chat. Reset Chat starts the conversation fresh, and a deleted conversation cannot be recovered.
• Unprompted media: characters in "Realistic" chat mode can send photos, voice notes and videos on their own. Toggles in the chat window switch this off.

Premium Plus is a newer, higher tier. The help center (September 2026) lists 330 tokens a month instead of 100, live audio, chat customization, user personas, 20 memory slots, 5 cloned chats, early access to new characters and 10% bonus tokens on top-ups for quarterly and yearly plans. Its price was not shown on the public subscription page when we checked in October 2026.

Candy.ai pricing: how much does it cost in 2026?

Candy.ai shows prices by region. We saw euros in October 2026; the US-dollar figures are from our July 2026 fact check. Local taxes may be added, and plans renew automatically (the monthly plan at the regular price after the first month).

How far 100 tokens go: Candy.ai does not publish a price list per feature, so we cannot say how many images or voice minutes 100 tokens buy. The figures it does publish: Candy Roulette costs 5 tokens a minute, an Exclusive Character costs, for example, 200 tokens, and its referral article calls 200 tokens "a $20 value", which puts the monthly 100 tokens at about $10 by Candy's own math. Once they are used up, chat keeps working, but images, video and voice need a top-up.

Which plan to pick: at the euro prices we saw, the annual plan (€47.88) costs less than four months on the monthly plan (€9.99 + 3 × €13.99 = €51.96), and the 3-month plan (€26.97) costs less than three monthly payments (€37.97). So the annual plan only pays off if you are fairly sure you will use Candy.ai for four months or more. To just try it, take the monthly plan and cancel right after paying: you keep Premium until the month ends and it will not renew.

How to cancel Candy.ai and get a refund

Candy.ai's refund rules are much stricter than its "cancel any time" line suggests, so read this before you pay. The rules below come from Candy.ai's terms of service (revision of September 22, 2026) and its help center.

1. To cancel: go to My Profile → Settings and click Unsubscribe next to your subscription details at the bottom. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for and are not charged again. There is no option to pause a subscription.
2. Cancelling is not a refund request: a refund has to be requested from support separately.
3. The refund window is 24 hours: you have to ask within 24 hours of paying. A subscription refund is refused once you have used more than 20 tokens, and a token-pack refund once you have used the tokens. Only card payments can be refunded, and problems on your side (such as your connection) do not qualify.
4. EU and UK users have 14 days: you can withdraw from your initial purchase within 14 days of the confirmation email, without giving a reason, by sending a clear statement to support@candymail.ai. You get back what you paid, minus a pro-rated amount for what you already used.
5. Use your tokens before the period ends: the terms say leftover tokens expire when the subscription ends and do not carry over to a later subscription. A help-center article from August 2026 says the opposite (tokens stay on the account and return if you subscribe again). The terms are what counts in a dispute, so do not rely on the help-center version.
6. Chargebacks end everything at once: filing one cancels the purchase immediately and removes Premium access and your remaining tokens.
7. Deleting your account (Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account) also cancels an active subscription, according to the help center, but it removes your chats and characters for good, and some data is kept for legally required periods.

Is Candy.ai safe and legit?

Candy.ai is a legitimate business with a named operator, EverAI Limited in Malta. Whether it is private is a separate question. In our AI companion privacy scorecard, Candy.ai's privacy policy (dated July 30, 2026) earns a B, 12 of 16 points. That is the highest score of the 15 apps we graded, tied with Replika; none earned an A.

• AI training: chats may be de-identified and used to train Candy.ai's models, dataset preparation may include human review, and there is no training-specific opt-out.
• Who sees your messages: third-party LLM providers and hosters may receive message content. The policy names when staff look at chats: flagged-content moderation, random quality checks, training datasets and support cases.
• Retention: account data is kept for three years after your last activity unless you ask for deletion; log files are deleted after 30 days.
• Security: the policy promises only "appropriate security measures" and does not say chats are end-to-end encrypted, so assume they are readable on Candy.ai's servers.
• Age checks: the terms require you to be of legal age where you live and allow Candy.ai to ask you to verify that you are an adult; the privacy policy mentions third-party age estimation or verification depending on your location.
• Your content: generated characters, chats and images are for personal use only, and commercial use is not allowed. The terms also let Candy.ai remove account content after periods of inactivity and remove characters or features without a refund.

In practice: fine for fantasy roleplay, but keep real names, workplaces and anything you would not want stored out of your chats. Deleting a conversation is not the same as deleting your account data.

Candy.ai pros and cons

• Named operator: EverAI Limited in Malta, with a support email in the terms.
• Cheap on the annual plan: €3.99 a month in October 2026.
• Broad feature set: images, image-to-video clips, voice and Live Action, all in one account.
• Simple cancellation: an Unsubscribe button in Settings, no email or phone call needed.

• Tokens on top of the subscription: images, video and voice all use tokens, and the cost per feature is not published.
• Very small free plan: 5 messages in total is not enough to judge chat quality.
• No training-specific opt-out: and no stated end-to-end encryption.
• Mixed signals on tokens: terms and help center disagree on whether unused tokens survive a cancellation.

• Sweetdream.ai (4.5/5, privacy D): publishes what each image, video and call costs in tokens, which Candy.ai does not.
• SecretDesires (4.3/5, privacy C): a cheaper monthly plan with unlimited messaging and a free plan with daily limits, but no refunds outside the EU.
• Replika (4.3/5, privacy B): the only other app with 12/16 in our scorecard, for a non-explicit companion.

Who is Candy.ai for?

Candy.ai fits adults who want image- and video-heavy roleplay, accept a token budget on top of the subscription and plan to stay at least four months, when the annual plan beats paying monthly. If you mainly want long conversations or a real free trial, start with the alternatives above.
