Camsoda AI Review (2026): 200+ Companions, Memory & Pricing

What this page is based on: Camsoda AI's homepage, its AI girlfriend page, its terms and conditions (last modified November 10, 2025) and its privacy policy (last updated November 10, 2024), all checked October 2026; its checkout plan screen from September 2026, shown below; and the other Camsoda AI screenshots on this page. Memory, response speed and encryption are Camsoda AI's own claims, and we have not tested them. The 4.5 rating reflects its documented feature set and entry price; the renewal, cancellation and ownership points below are its main drawbacks.

Camsoda AI says you can pick from more than 200 AI girlfriends or create your own, and that voice replies, photos and roleplay all run in the same chat window. It works in desktop and mobile browsers; in its own words, there is "no download, no install." That combination of a big roster, a builder and media in one chat is the main reason to consider it. What is Camsoda AI?

Camsoda AI calls itself "a separate AI product by Camsoda" and says its characters run on the chat engine Camsoda built for live cam interaction. Its terms say every character on the site is fictional and AI-generated, and all are "simulated persons over the age of 18". That includes the homepage row labeled "Jump into LIVE ACTION": none of these characters is a real performer.

The terms and privacy policy speak of "Camsoda.ai" and "we" but do not name the company that runs the service. Disputes go to arbitration in Miami-Dade County, Florida, and class actions are excluded. You must be 18 or the age of majority where you live. The site may ask for ID, and its privacy policy says that ID submitted for an age check, including through Jumio or Incode, is used to generate a 3D scan of your face geometry.

Characters and chat

The simplest way in is the character library. Camsoda AI says each of its 200+ characters has a full profile, personality and visual identity, and that every character keeps its own memory, so a second companion does not know what you told the first. It also says characters remember names, refer back to earlier messages and adjust their tone to yours, with an average response time under two seconds. The chat screenshot shows a character's opening message next to her profile. The profile panel has a "Chat on Telegram" button, which suggests this character can also be reached through Telegram. If you use that route, Telegram's own privacy rules apply as well. The same screenshot shows a small inconsistency: Sara's age tag says 26, while her own description says she is "in my 30s".

Creating a custom AI girlfriend

If none of the ready-made characters fits, Camsoda AI also has a character creator. The builder screenshot shows six steps: Style (realistic or anime), Basics, Face & Hair, Body, Character and Meet. Camsoda AI says you define appearance, personality, voice and backstory, and that a saved character chats like the featured ones and keeps its own memory.

Custom characters are a paid feature: the homepage FAQ and the checkout screen both list them under Premium. The builder also shows a token balance with an "Add Tokens" button, a sign that some actions use tokens.

Voice, images and video

According to the homepage, you tap the mic to speak and the character answers with a synthesized voice. You ask for a photo in the chat and get a generated image that matches her look. The checkout screen lists "Spicy 18+" image and video generation as a Premium benefit.

How much of it you get is less clear. The homepage says Premium brings "uncapped voice and image generation" and that image generation is unlimited. The checkout screen, by contrast, lists 300 tokens a month, and the builder shows a token balance. None of the pages we checked says how many tokens an image, a video or a voice reply costs. Is Camsoda AI free?

Yes, there is a free account. Camsoda AI's homepage says free accounts include unlimited text chat with any character in the library, and that you can chat with several characters from one account, each with separate memory. How much does Camsoda AI cost?

The checkout screen (September 2026) offers Premium on three terms. One month costs $9.99, which it calls the regular price. Three months cost $4.99 a month (50% off), and 12 months cost $2.49 a month (75% off), about $29.88 for the year if billed upfront. The 12-month plan is preselected as "Best Value". One benefits list applies to all three terms: 300 free tokens a month, private content, unlimited messaging, custom companions and 18+ image and video generation. The screen promises "Cancel anytime" and "No hidden fees".

What the screen does not show is the price after the first term. Camsoda AI's terms say a one-month subscription renews automatically at US$19.95 a month unless you cancel, and that the first purchase brings a one-time bonus of 200 tokens. They say nothing about what the 3-month and 12-month plans renew at. Plan for $19.95 unless your checkout shows a different renewal price. How to cancel, and what about refunds?

The terms say you can cancel at any time "by visiting or emailing us at support@camsoda.ai". A subscription renews on the day after your paid period ends, so send the email before then and keep the reply. None of the pages we checked describes a cancel button in the account settings.

Refunds are thin. The terms call purchases of Credits "final sale", give no refund if your account is closed, and say any Credits left in a cancelled or terminated account are forfeited. They describe no refund for subscriptions either. If a charge looks wrong, report it within 30 days; after that, the terms treat it as accepted. The homepage says payments go through third-party processors and never appear as "Camsoda AI" on your statement, so look for an unfamiliar name when you check your bank.

Privacy and security

Camsoda AI's homepage says conversations are encrypted in transit and at rest, are not used to train public models, and cannot be seen by other users. Its own FAQ on the same page is narrower: it only says chats travel over encrypted HTTPS connections. The privacy policy (last updated November 10, 2024) mentions neither encryption nor AI training. It says de-identified data may be used to improve the site and shared with providers and advertising networks, and that cookies and pixels are used to tailor ads. The data it lists includes your email, profile details, device data, IP-based location, purchase records and, for age checks, government ID.

One point stands out in the terms: anything you upload gives Camsoda AI and its third-party advertisers a perpetual, irrevocable license to use it, including in advertising, so do not upload your own photos. And the privacy policy says that to delete your data you email dpo@camsoda.ai (eudpo@camsoda.ai in the EU) and must still be able to log in.
